After a very wet day and a half in DC compliments of Hurricane Bill, I finally caught a break this morning/today. Had an amazing shoot over at 300 NJ aka 51Louisiana as well as my other project Square 320. I leave you with a quick preview from the 300 New Jersey shoot. Enjoy

Hi Blake,
Love your work! I also love architecture and am wondering what lenses you use to do your work? All the best, nik.
Hi Nik,
Thanks for the kind words. In regards to equipment, most of the work you see on the site was shot with a Canon 16-35 f/2.8 as well as the Canon 24-105 f/4 paired with either a Canon 1ds Mark 2, 1ds Mark 3, or 5d Mark 2 depending on when the work was shot. Hope this helps. Checked out your site as well, love your environmental portrait work. Very nice stuff!
Thanks very much Blake for your reply and thanks…yes I mainly shoot portraits. I do love to shoot interiors and buildings on occasion. I’m surprised you don’t use the T/S lenses. I use photoshop to correct perspective…is that something you do? I guess I’m wondering if a lot of people are doing that today unless they use technical cameras. Cheers, nik.
Not a huge fan of the canon t/s lenses. been wanting to give the new 17 and redo of he 24 a go. i’m super picky about perspective correction in photoshop in that i do it all the time and really obsess over it being dialed in.
Yeah I hear you on that. The new lenses look interesting but photoshop is cheaper.
The 4×5 film shooter in me is ashamed but with budgets and time spent on site cut so much i find my workflow has been very advantages.
